You may also be eligible to enroll in Tiger Team's benefits.  These benefits are an important part of your total compensation and have been designed to provide you and your family with a measure of security, both now, and in the future. Please contact the HR Manager for eligibility and costs.

  • Medical plan-  There are 3 plans offered through United Healthcare to choose from.  Please follow the links below for plan details.   
    1. UHC Platinum PPO - $750 deductible plan; may go out of network but costs will be higher; no referrals needed
    2. UHC UHC Silver PPO HSA - $3,000 deductible plan with 100% coverage after deductible is met; combined with a Health Savings Account and no referrals needed
    3. UHC Bronze PPO HSA - $6,700 deductible plan with 100% coverage after deductible is met; combined with a Health Savings Account and no referrals needed

                Transparency in Coverage information

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) - If you enroll in the Silver or Bronze medical plans you may also choose to contribute pre-tax dollars to a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for expenses not covered under your medical plan such as deductibles and co-pays.  To enroll in the HSA, please complete the salary reduction agreement and the HSA Bank account enrollment form
  • Dental plan - We offer a dental plan through Delta Dental. You may elect dental coverage only or combined with another plan.
  • Vision plan - We offer a vision plan through VSP. You may elect vision coverage only or combined with another plan.

To enroll or waive health benefits coverage, please complete the following forms: 

For all health benefits (medical, dental and vision), you have 30 days from your hire date to enroll or waive coverage.  With the exception of medical coverage, the effective date of your coverage is your date of hire unless otherwise noted.  Medical coverage is effective with the first day of the month following your hire date.  If you are hired on the first of the month, your coverage is effective that day. You may elect to discontinue your coverage at any time but additions and changes to your coverage may only be made during the annual Open Enrollment Period at the end of the year effective January 1 unless you have a change in life status such as marriage, new child, divorce, spouse gets or loses coverage from a job change, etc. 


You are automatically enrolled in Tiger Team's life and long-term disability insurance plans:
  • Group Life Insurance - Tiger Team provides $100,000 of term life insurance to full-time employees at no cost to you. Note that employer-paid life insurance premiums for coverage in excess of $50,000 is federally required to be reported as a taxable fringe benefit on your W-2. The specific taxable amount depends on the cost of the coverage which varies by age. However, for reference, the taxable amount for a 40-year-old employee is approximately $60 per year.
  • Long-Term Disability Insurance - Full-time employees are enrolled in a group Long-Term Disability Policy. If you are disabled for more than 90 days, this plan provides up to 60% of your monthly earnings (up to a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000). Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 30 day(s) of employment. The premium for the policy is deducted from your paycheckPremiums are equal to $0.15 per $100 of your W2 earnings. Since you pay the premium, the benefit payments are not taxed in the event of a claim. 

You may also choose to enroll in the 401(k) plan:

  • 401(k) plan - All Tiger Team employees are immediately eligible to join the 401(k) Plan by completing the enrollment form. The Plan also accepts rollover contributions from other plans.  Tiger Team will automatically make a semi-monthly employer contribution of 5% of wages earned during that period.  Please review the 401(k) investment funds available. Tiger Team also provides free investment counseling to assist you in selecting funds that meet your retirement goals.  To take advantage of this valuable service. please contact Brian Powell of Wells Fargo Investment Advisors at 202-861-4438 or brian.powell@WellsFargoAdvisors.com.

Training / Education Allowance -

Employees are encouraged to stay current on technologies of professional interest and of value to Tiger Team. Tiger Team will reimburse employees for up to $300 per year for related expenses, which may include: technical book or journal subscriptions, certification tests, conferences, membership dues, training classes or other skills development related costs. Please have these expenses pre-approved by a Partner in order to qualify for reimbursement.

Payroll and Timesheets

Tiger Team has an online timesheet system that you must use to enter time by project and by day. You will be provided with a timesheet user name and log in on your first day. Please review the timesheet instructions.  Here are some important things to be aware of:

  • Billable time should be tracked and recorded daily into the system in 15-minute increments unless otherwise stipulated by clients.  
  • Timesheets are semi-monthly covering the periods of the first day through the 15th day of the month and the 16th through the last day of each month on the following schedule.   
  • Timesheets are due for payroll processing by 10:00 AM on the first business day following the end of the timesheet period. You will receive an email reminder when your timesheet is due. If you do not submit a correct timesheet, you may not get paid until the next payroll period. 
  • Payroll is processed on the business day following the last day of each timesheet period. Three banking, business days after the payroll processing day, pay is direct deposited into your account and your paystub is issued. See schedule for exact dates.
